Chatham University a forerunner in Healthcare Informatics!

Chatham University, a HIMSS “Approved Education Partner” and leader in health science graduate education for over 25 years, offers several ways to accelerate a career in healthcare informatics. Currently, Chatham offers three entry points to furthering one’s education in regard to Healthcare Informatics. The three entry points consist of a:

1. Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics (MHI) degree

The MHI is a graduate level, 10-course, fully online professional program designed for working adults in the healthcare, IT, or business arenas. The program culminates in a health informatics immersion, carried out under the guidance of an external mentor in the field of informatics.

2. Choice of two Certificates of Completion in: Healthcare Informatics or Healthcare Analytics

Both certificates are 12-credits, fully online graduate certificates that prepare professionals to thrive in areas where business, technology, and healthcare meet. Certificates may be completed in two or three semesters, and may be applied toward earning the full MHI degree.

• The Certificate of Completion in Healthcare Informatics will support professionals who focus on the management and integration of technology. Related job titles include but are not limited to systems analyst, informaticist, informatics specialist, project manager, and various clinical health professionals who specialize in information technology.
• The Certificate of Completion in Healthcare Analytics is for professionals whose positions are driven by data, reporting and use of health IT. Related job titles include but are not limited to analyst report writer, process improvement specialist, and clinical product analyst.

Chatham also collaborates with businesses within the healthcare arena by providing customized training programs to advance their employees’ knowledge and skills in integrating and using technology to support analytic needs.
